Garden Pavers

Yesterday the Snickerdoodle (that's O) and I were out playing outside when I stumbled upon a stack of garden paving stones I didn't know we had. I had found a similar stack on the other side of the house but there were only 14 so although they gave me the idea to put them in the garden, there weren't enough to bother. With the discovery of pile number 2, I knew I could put them in our vegetable garden to cut down on the weeding we'd been doing (plus I just knew it would look nice). I got to work cleaning off and hauling both stacks over to the garden then digging each one in down between the rows of plants. It didn't take all that long but I am feeling a tad sore today. Oh well, it was totally worth it!

Here's the final look:

  1. The plants reflect the cultural diversity and culinary traditions of Brooklyn. In my view Gardening ranges in scale from fruit orchards, to long boulevard plantings with one or more different types of shrubs, trees, and herbaceous plants, to residential yards including lawns and foundation plantings, to plants in large or small containers grown inside or outside. Gardening may be very specialized, with only one type of plant grown, or involve a large number of different plants in mixed plantings.
