Projects squeezed in among projects

I'm not checking a lot of items off my to do list (see right) but I've been busy busy busy doing all sorts of other things. One is wearing down the blade on my new Silhouette machine (not really, the blade is still nice and sharp), I feel like it's been running non stop for a few days now. Seeing as my day job is to hang with O all day, I'm able to squeeze in some crafting here and there and the Silhouette is proving to be an awesome tool for getting things done. I run into the craft area, set up the paper, hit go then head back to play trains/paint/read/whatever until I hear the machine stop then I fire it up again. O doesn't mind as he knows that a crafty mommy is a happy mommy.

Anyway, yesterday and today I was hard at work cranking out around 25 pillow boxes to contain some candies and trinkets my husband bought for his staff at work as a holiday treat. He'll also be writing a nice note to each employee and guess who gets to make those cards? You guessed it, me. So far I've only made the pillow boxes but stay tuned, the cards should hit the assembly line shortly.

(The color is a little off in this picture. The snowflakes are a frosty white)

I do love my new Silhouette. Just when I think crafting can't get any more fun, I find a new toy to make my products bigger, brighter and better (or at the very least, easier).

  2. If you're commenting on my odd tinted snowflakes, bear in mind the table they were sitting on for the photo is my blazing white melamine top crafting desk (and pictured it too isn't very white). That's what I get for finishing up projects after dark and refusing to use my flash.
